Another tension problem

I am a new user, while I was practicing the machine tension was fine. Now that my quilt is loaded, the machine is acting like the top tension is wrong. I've adjusted it in both directions with no improvement in the stitch quality. I've threaded and re-threaded the machine and changed the needle size. I'm stumped, any ideas?

What kind of thread are you using? Are you using a pre-wound bobbin? What size needle are you using? What are your stitches looking like? Can you post a photo?
