Every business day, an educator from Handi Quilter will be reading through your questions and trying to help you with your problems or concerns. Happy quilting!!

Will we be contacted individually to address our questions/problems or will the responses from the HQ experts be posted?
Thanks |

The responses will be posted just like I am posting this answer. If you need a more in depth answer or are still having issues with something and it was not addressed well enough, you could call our office and talk to one of the educators to get further help with your problem.

I went back to specific topic and it worked. However, the options to post new topic, etc. were not there when I previously attempted. Thanks for fixing the glitch---I suppose that I am so excited to communicate with others about my passion in quilting that I became impatient.
Thanks and Merry Christmas! |

Wrinkled backing

I pin my back to the leader -- it is wrinkle-free and smooth.
I quilt -- take the back off and it is "gathered/wrinkly" -- What am I doing wrong?? |

The only way I've been able to figure out how to enter and post questions is to get into someone else's "quote" and edit -- How do I enter my own question without that? |

When you enter the Ask an HQ Expert, you will see a listing of the topics. Right above the listing, is a little flag that says 'New Topic' and this is how you post a new one. The flag looks like the one that says 'Reply' when you want to reply to a posting.
Hope this helps you, Debbie in Austin |

Make sure that as you advance your quilt that you are tightening up the back fabric. Baste down your left side and stablize the right side of your quilt also either by pinning it or basting it. Also, put your clamps on each time you roll your quilt. Are you quilting as you go, or do you leave big areas to come back too? This can create puckering on the back of your quilt. Check these things and hopefully your back of the quilt will look just as nice as the front.
