Avante can't switch modes

Brand new Avante stuck in manual mode. Won't switch to regulated. Screen gives a green light for regulated mode, but when the start button is activated it takes off in manual. It was working fine, this problem just occured last night and today. Did the diagnostic tests, the needle tracking gives an error beep indicator. The stitch regulator wheels seem to be touching the tracks and moving properly. Removed and reseated all the encoder ribbon ends. What to do???
