Ok, the latest on the brand new Avante. Got on the phone with the service rep and while doing some test stuff, the machine got stuck on 100% manual mode speed. So, disconnected the front handlebars, attatched the ribbon encoder to the back port, and the front handlebars now work fine. From the rear of the machine. So, reattatched the front to the front, and opened the cpod. There was a loose connector in there, so reseated it, and now the front handlebars work perfectly. However, the back handlebars are now dead. Yes the back ribbon encoder is plugged in to its port outside the c pod. Service rep says they have not encountered this problem yet. So does my dealer. So tomorrow, we will take up the issue again, and try to diagnose where the issue is happening. It could be the ends of the cpod connectors where they disapear into the internal works of the machine. Anyway, in the meantime, the quilts are piling up. 2 more in today. HELP!!

Okay, the problem was inside the c pod, one of the connections had come loose. Reseated it, replugged in all the ribbon encoders and the machine has come back to life! Thanks much to Carly, Sam, and Dave, you guys are awesome. Now, I have a really nice HQ Sixteen that needs a new home.....
