The batting is coming through the needle holes on the back of my quilt. (It was only the last three rows of the quilt) What is causing this and what can I do about it?
Beth,

Since your batting is only poking through on the last three rows of your quilt I would recommend changing your needle more frequently. Make sure you are using a sharp needle. The other thing you need to do is make sure your the scrim of the batting is placed the right way. The scrim should be facing towards the back of your quilt. For more information on batting you can go to www.quiltersreview.com.

Thanks for that answer. It was a new needle but the quilt was 126" X 115" so maybe that made a difference. The scrim was down, toward the back of the quilt, so I'm thinking that I might need a new needle part way though a quilt that big, if I ever do one like it, again!
