| I know we have discussed this before but how does everyone start and stop quilting to minimize the bulky knotty look. |

| At the beginning and ending of the stitching pull your threads out a bit longer, hand tie them, thread them thru a needle and bury them. I take a few tiny stitches at the beginning and end myself. But most all of my quilts are to be used. If it were a wall hanging I would probably bury them. |

| I can get the bobbin thread up to tie at the start, butI have a hard time at the end. So I just sew a few tiny stitches and hope for the best. After all, we're supposed to be having Fun !!! |

Hi everyone, You needle down -- needle up--move machine away to pull up bobbin thread --hold top thread and bobbin thread that come up --make your small stitches and continue quilting. You will need to cut off these threads later. To end, you do the reverse -- make small stitches, needle down -- needle up - move machine away to pull up bobbin thread--it will be pulled up around the top thread--hold top thread and bobbin thread that comes up and then cut off. I think this is shown on the DVD that comes with your HQ16. |
