I know we have discussed this before but how does everyone start and stop quilting to minimize the bulky knotty look.
At the beginning and ending of the stitching pull your threads out a bit longer, hand tie them, thread them thru a needle and bury them. I take a few tiny stitches at the beginning and end myself. But most all of my quilts are to be used. If it were a wall hanging I would probably bury them.
I can get the bobbin thread up to tie at the start, butI have a hard time at the end. So I just sew a few tiny stitches and hope for the best. After all, we're supposed to be having Fun !!!
Hi everyone,

You needle down -- needle up--move machine away to pull up bobbin thread --hold top thread and bobbin thread that come up --make your small stitches and continue quilting. You will need to cut off these threads later. To end, you do the reverse -- make small stitches, needle down -- needle up - move machine away to pull up bobbin thread--it will be pulled up around the top thread--hold top thread and bobbin thread that comes up and then cut off.

I think this is shown on the DVD that comes with your HQ16.
