bobbin issues

Hi I'm a new simply sixteen quilter. I had NO problems at all with the 2 pre-wound bobbins that came with my machine. However, now I have wound my own and it is a nightmare. Puckering (and yes I've checked the tension) and then bobbin thread breakage....any suggestions??

Do you have the bobbin feeding off correctly? It should unwind clockwise. Did you use the bobbin winder to wind the bobbin? Is the bobbin wound firmly and evenly? These could be issues as well. What thread do you have in the bobbin? Have you tried changing the needle?
