Hello,
I am a recent HQ 16 owner and new to this group. I am working on quilting my first baby quilt. It's a log cabin design. I find that because I stitch the little square, then the bigger one around it, then the bigger one around it, etc., and because I don't snip the bobbin threads, (how could I anyway without crawling under the quilt each time?), sometimes the underside of the HQ gets hooked on these bobbin threads and it moves slowly until the thread below snaps and then the quilting goes off course. Am I making any sense? If so and you have some info on this, would you please answer?
Thanks in advance,
Kathryn
Kath. You can cut your bobbin threads without crawling under your table. When you are done with your 1st round of quilting, stop, do a couple of very small stitches, then bring up your bobbing thread. It shows you how to do this on 1 of the instructional videos. But you want to at the end, stop with needle up, pull machine away a few inches, bring back to stopping point, hit needle down, then needle up and this sould bring up your bobbin thread at which time cut the treads, move machine to new starting point and start over. I hope I have explained this where you can understand. Hope this helps. Debi opps.when you move machine away at the end hold onto the thread and bring back to ending point, then do needle down and needle up, grab both threads and snip
