Changing needles

| I purchased a used HQ16 from a friend and have only had it since November/09. I haven't had any lessons on the machine but did do a practice quilt on it. Now I have to change the needle and have absolutely no idea how the needle goes in. Does it have a flat side and does the flat side go to the back like my Bernina machine? I don't want to put the needle in wrong and I could not find any videos on your web site about changing the needle. Your web site has been very helpful with other things like loading a quilt and using the bobbin winder. Could you please tell me how to put a new needle in my HQ16. Thank you. |

There is a video on changing a needle on the Handi Quilter web site. If you go under the Education heading then go to Videos, Tips & Tricks. Find the "How to" video. Then go to the Machine Maintenance viedos. The very last topic in this area is Changing a Needle. This should help you. Good luck. If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask.
