Channel Lock

I'm the new owner of the Fusion. Following the DVD, the instruction is to run a stitch across the width of the quilt using the channel lock. Is the channel lock the little gadget that is for sale for $3 or is it something that is on the Fusion?

Congratulations on your Fusion! The channel lock is not built into the machine. You are correct in assuming it is the gadget you mentioned. It will fit around one of the front wheels of your machine. Make sure the rubber covers are on the two ends of the channel lock or else it will not grip the wheel very well. Some people like to use one on each front wheel to get a firmer grip. If you have the Pro-Stitcher, there is a horizontal and vertical channel lock built into the program. If you purchased the Pro-Stitcher with your Fusion, you will not need the Horizontal Channel Lock gadget.
