Hi there, glad to have this opportunity to communicate, the HQ website is the most innovative I've seen so far for product users.
I have a channel lock for the Avante and the studio frame. I can't figure out how it goes on! I'm curious, do you have a picture? Is there a different channel lock for the Avante? It seems too big for the wheel! Thanks. Dayle |

Hi Dayle,
I also have the Avante, with the Studio Frame. I have 2 channel locks for mine. I thought I would purchase 2 of them, just in case the other failed, not knowing what they looked like or how to use them. This is how I figured out on mine how to use them: From the back of the machine, looking at the side really, I place the channel lock on the wheels that are on the machine. I put the little black rubber, or plastic tips, on the wheels where they ride on each side of the roller at the bottom, close to the carriage. Just pull the channel locks apart enough to place the tips on the inner grove of the wheels right down to the bottom. That should keep it tight enough to go in a straight line. I have used this to go across my frame from right to left or left to right. I have not used them to go back and forth. I am sure that if I am incorrect that a HQ Rep. will jump in here and correct me. I hope this has helped and not confused you more. Good luck, Cathy |

Thanks Cathy. I see now how to work it. I just seemed like the whole lock should have fit over the wheel. I was looking inside the box, so to speak! I'll have to try it out on the next quilt I'm doing a quilt as you go strippy quilt on the machine. Is there a place on the website to post pictures? thanks again.
