| I was just looking at the Circle Lord for the HQ16. I am wondering if any of you have this and how much you like it? Is it easy to use? The cost is pretty pricey and I am wondering if it is worth it. It looks really easy to use, but would you buy it again if you already have it? Of course I am just dreaming at this point, but then it does not hurt to dream. |

| If you are talking about the circles that are all different sized and all nestle together when not using, I too have purchased these. I have not had a chance to use them yet. My dealer had a demo on them and it looked rather easy. Yes they are costly but I think if they work as easy as it looked it will be money well spent. |

| I just joined this forum a few minutes ago so Diane, if you are still considering the Circle Lord, I really do like mine. I don't use it as much as I thought I would because I really enjoy just free hand quilting most, but it is very effective and easy to use. I have used it on several quilts. I recently won first place in a quilt show with the spirals in the center of each block and freehand feather type background between and around the spirals. |

Check out the Quilt-EZ http://www.quilt-ez.com/ It is much cheaper then the Circle Lord and you can get all kinds of patterns. I have one for my machine and LOVE it. So many gadgets.. so little money! Deb |

FOR DEBK looked at your web site, loved their system, but I am unclear how the price works out if the pen costs $74 and then the pattern is $60? Is it because handi Q is for only a 10/6" piece? Does the quilt-ez one go all the way across? I want to get a Baptist fan one and later wreath and clam, maybe the saving is once you have the stylus. . can you give me more info? |

Scooter Gama - you must have the stylus before you can use any of the boards so just consider that as a necessity - I have yet to try the HQ boards but will be buying the baptist fan next. I do use the Quilt-EZ boards and absolutely love them! They make me look good LOL - And definately get at least 2 boards - whichever company you choose to buy from. 2 makes it so much better - so you can "leapfrog" and it doesn't slow you down - if you can afford 3 it would be even better. I think with the Baptist fans I may purchase 3 so I can just go down the row without stopping so much. Blessings, Vickiquilts |

debk I also checked the EZ site and wow they have some great groovy boards. The things I have done with the boards I already have make me look like a pro rather than a beginner. This is the greatest addiction I've ever had! Jean |

| does the groovy board stylus work with the EZ boards?? I HOPE so. I just ordered my HQ16 with the groovy stylus and a couple of groovy boards, so I can't wait for it to get here! I checked out the EZ site mentioned above and there are a lot of great patterns there |

| OK, this has probably been covered somewhere here on the forum, but I'm curious about circles. Has anyone used the nested half circle templates from Handiquilter? Or a similar manufacturer. The Circle Lord is a lot more involved than I was thinking. You'd have to do a lot of circles to get that much money's worth, I'd think. How does using those templates compare to a circle groovy board? |
