I'm visiting my sister and her new HQ. I'm having lots of fun with her machine so far and hope to go home with a stack of finished quilts! I'd like to use clear thread on my next quilt, but I'm not sure if it's possible, and if so, how to thread the machine (same as for regular thread?). Sis has misplaced her manual, so I'm hoping someone here can help me. Thanks! |

I have used Polyester Mono on my hq without a problem. I did use the POLYESTER MONOFILIMENT and not the nylon. I threaded it the same as I do regular quilting thread and loosened the top tension A LOT. I have tried the Nylon monofiliment and got constant breakage but didn't have one thread break with the Polyester. So this is something you need to consider. |

quiltersister I have used the poly mono both top and bobbin (not at the same time) without problem, as crash said you may have to loosen up the tension a bit. test first. |
