I purchased an used HQ II but am now wondering if in actuality I received an original HQ. What is the difference between these 2 frames? How would I know the difference by just looking at the frame?

Thank you,
Susan
HQII frame has different components: arms, brackets, size of poles, etc. I just last week purchased the original frame and a Juki machine from a yard sale. Customer service is great at handi quilter - I called and emailed and received responses to my email within 24 hours with instructions on how to set up my handiquilter.

The HQII has larger pole diameter and can quilt up to king size without an extension. The larger diamter is suppose to help with the bowing of the poles that occur on the original. The II should also come with the continuous track (much better than track with the original). If you go to the home page and look at the HQII frame it should tell you the diameter of the poles - you can use this to measure yours.
Look at the picture at the top of the forum page and then at the HQII in the products section. The new on has side pieces shaped like a hockey stick. The old one is shaped like the one at the top of the forum page.
