Double-Sided Tape for Attaching the Tracks

Has anyone experienced this: My dealer installed the tracks to the table using the little 3M double sided tape dealies. But I'm finding that they cause enough of a raise in the track at each of those points, that it's causing the machine to be uneasy to maneauver when it encounters those little tape stirps. My trakcs are still a little bowed in a couple places too, so I'm thinking about taking the whole thing off the table, and someone reattach the tracks using double strip tape the whole lenth of each track. I know it says you don't have to do that, but I can't see another way of having them be evenly down the entire length. I'm even considering drilling them into the table . . . . what does anyone think about that plan? |

| My husband screwed the tracks to the table (big Grace table) and everything works well. The screws are all countersunk so they do not inter with the machine going over them. Good luck. |

| Two things: If your tracks are still curved from shipping take them outside on a sunny day and lay them flat. The sun will help straighten them out. The dealer that sold me the machine said fully secure the front track and leave some slack in the back. The dealer who gave me a lesson on how to use the machine takes hers to quiltshows so often she just puts them on with small c-clamps where they can be adjusted easily and take down is easier. I've found this works great. |
