I just purchased the Edge Rider wheels about 3 weeks ago. You won't believe the difference that they make. They allow you to maneuver the machine so much easier. I was ready to throw or sell my machine before I got them. My machine is 2 yrs old so I had the original wheels on it. Not the ones that HQ has since come out with. I learned about them from the Yahoo HQ 16 group. It's a very friendly and helpful group as this one also appears to be. As far as the problem with the wheels going flat, I believe that it was a defect in an earlier batch which has since been corrected. From what I read on previous posts on the HQ Yahoo group, the manufacture stood behind them and replaced the defective ones. Coleen in Illinois |

Hi cmoore, were you able to install the new wheels yourself, or did you have to take your baby to the shop for the install? I'm curious about the wheels; I have some difficulty with diagonal movement when free-motioning, and difficulty with some 'jerkyness' (not me, I don't think) at times that of course reflects in a quilting line that is not smooth. I'm a new HQ owner so am practicing but wow, thought I was MUCH more coordinated. Did you have similar difficulties, and how did the edge riders change your life? Thanks, Katie |
