I just purchased the Edge Rider wheels about 3 weeks ago. You won't believe the difference that they make. They allow you to maneuver the machine so much easier. I was ready to throw or sell my machine before I got them. My machine is 2 yrs old so I had the original wheels on it. Not the ones that HQ has since come out with. I learned about them from the Yahoo HQ 16 group. It's a very friendly and helpful group as this one also appears to be.
As far as the problem with the wheels going flat, I believe that it was a defect in an earlier batch which has since been corrected. From what I read on previous posts on the HQ Yahoo group, the manufacture stood behind them and replaced the defective ones.

Hi cmoore, were you able to install the new wheels yourself, or did you have to take your baby to the shop for the install? I'm curious about the wheels; I have some difficulty with diagonal movement when free-motioning, and difficulty with some 'jerkyness' (not me, I don't think) at times that of course reflects in a quilting line that is not smooth. I'm a new HQ owner so am practicing but wow, thought I was MUCH more coordinated. Did you have similar difficulties, and how did the edge riders change your life?
