Hi. I have a Fusion, and I am so happy with it. I am however, having a difficult time with the placement of the electrical cord. Any chance your technical department could develop a coiled (or stretch) electrical cord for my machine. My outlet is above my machine so I can use my saddle stool on both sides without obstruction. But the cord keeps getting wrapped around stuff. A coiled cord would be just the ticket, and we could make one ourselves, but I am certain that this would void my warranty. Could you run this by them? thanks so much.... happy quilting.

Brenda, If your team comes up with something in dealing with the cords, mine gets hooked up on the carriage, please post photos to help all of us out. Thanks
Hello all,

It is difficult for us to provide a safety approved power cord that will adapt to each quilter's room layout. We believe the one we provide satisfies the needs of the majority of quilters. We have been unable to find a safety-approved, coiled power cord with the correct plug ends. I am not certain that is a good solution anyway, as the cord is likely to pull out of the socket while you are quilting.

One idea we had was to use a ceiling track such as for curtains (http://www.curtain-tracks.com/hardware/ceiling-mounted/recmar-3292-8-aluminum-curtain-track-8-ft.html) to hang the power cord above the machine and out of the way. You would use an elastic band to allow the cord to retract up to the ceiling when the machine is closest to the socket.

If the power cord hangs up on the carriage try the following: Move the machine on the carriage as far forward as it will go. Stretch the power cord from the machine to the end of the carriage on one rail or the other. Give the cord another one or two inches of length, then install a tie wrap around the cord and the end stop at the end of the rail. This should keep the cord free from the carriage.

I hope this helps you resolve your power cord difficulties.

I also have the Fusion, and my cord keeps getting caught in the track. Could you please post a photo of your soluton? I don't quite understand what you are saying.
I did have a pole with some curtain hooks installed on my ceiling above and behind the machine, but it really doesn't solve the problem.
