Embellisher

| I've been looking at what gadgets are available on the HQ site and want to know if anyone has used the embellisher. The description sounds interesting but with no picture I'm not sure about ordering. |

i saw the embellisher listed and called about it recently. customer service said they'd had problems with it and therefore aren't currently offering it. i have the babylock embellisher and love it - except for the tight quarters with the standard sewing machine space. i was really excited at the prospect of having that capability with my hq. if anyone at hq is listening, here's my vote for a new embellisher. |

| I too have the Babylock Embellisher which is a needle felting or punching machine. I called about the embellisher at handiquilter and I believe I was told it was more like a couching type embellishment aid. I am not sure if I am entirely correct but I would love to be able to couch heavy threads using freemotion quilting. I am not sure how it would work with a straight stitch unless one used very heavy thread, yarn or perhaps ribbon. |

| hmm. now you've got me curious. i just went back and re-read the description and really can't tell. if it is couching, then i'm curious too how that will work with a straight stitch. i was filling in the blanks and thinking that it was like the needle felting attachment that you can get to put on a bernina machine. i think i'll write to customer service and suggest they look into developing one of those. who knows? wouldn't it be fantastic to be able to felt with all that space? |
