fast speed at startup

I just got my new machine in March and generally it has been a dream machine. However, when I'm using it in SR mode, sometimes it starts up real fast even if I haven't started moving it yet and it makes the beginning and/or restart stitch stiches very tiny until it slow to the normal speed. Do I need to do something with an adjustment to remedy this?

I got my machine two years ago and have had this same problem since day one. I think the computer is becoming overloaded with the starts and stops and that's why this is happening. When I have it happen, I immediatly hit the stop button, wait a few seconds and start again and usually everything is okay.

If there is an adjustment to be made sure hope the resolution is posted here. I've talked to my dealer and tech about this a few times and they have no idea how it can be fixed without stopping and restarting.

I will say that if I have this happen often during a quilting session, I turn the machine off wait about 30 seconds and turn it back on. Kinda of like rebooting your computer.

Thanx for referring me to the tech Sam.. . He was so nice and walked me through the Diagnostics necessary and fixed my problem. Wow. . THe service truly is great when we actually let hq know we need help.

No, I haven't yet. Thanks for reminding me. It would be nice to have that problem gone. I've just worked with it for so long I just really don't give it a second thought to fix it.

I just had my machine upgrade and added the Pro Stitcher - I am having the same problem. I have contacted HQ but I was wondering what your resolution was.
