Floor space needed

I'm moving to a new sewing room and thinking of purchasing a HQ. I wanted to know how much floor space I would need for both the 16 & 18. I would like to leave it up in largest size. How difficult is it to change sizes? I sent an email in over the weekend but haven't heard back. Couldn't find this info on web site. Thx.

Hello, I have the 18" avante model, the thing that takes the floor space is the frame though, not the machine. Were you going to purchase a sit down model or a stand up model? A 12 foot frame needs a 14 foot space minimum, that still would be a bit of a squeeze. A sit down model would not need nearly so much space, just a corner. Good luck!

The ideal floor space that you would need for a 10 ft. Studio frame would by 8' X 13' You may be able to get away with a slightly smaller area if you don't want to work from the back of your machine.
