Fusion Won't Come Out of Precision Mode

Hi There...

On my Fusion, I've been having a problem where it won't come out of Precision stitching unless I completely shut it off and reboot it. This is very puzzling.

My regular setting is SPI: 12, Cruise: 10%.

So here's the sequence: I put it in precision mode to baste the sides of my quilt, and increase the stitch length to 4. Then, I reduce the stitch length to 12 (still in precision mode) to work with rulers. Then, I turn Cruise to "on." Instead of remembering my cruise setting, it resets to 1%. I set it back to 10%, press the Start button - the light turns green, but nothing happens. If I slightly move the machine, it will take a stitch, as if it is in Precision mode. So I press stop, toggle cruise off/on, hit start again - no change.

I've tried this from both the front and back handle bars - nothing makes a difference. It says it is in Cruise mode but it won't stitch unless I move the machine.

This has happened to me once before, when it first came back from having the latest update in November, but since it has happened again it's no longer a minor glitch but a bug. :) Help please!

Off to reboot it...

Rebooting it did help last night but when I turned it on this morning, it was doing the same thing.

I just spent 30 minutes on the phone with Tech Support (thanks!) and after running some diagnostics, the verdict was to replace the C-Pod.

In the mean time, I can still stitch with it, but I have to toggle back & forth several times between precision & cruise before it will recognize the cruise setting.
