I just received the Handi Light as a birthday present and realized when I opened it that it has a cord attached to it. I haven't been able to figure out how to attach the light to the HQ 16 and how to plug it in to the machine so that I can quilt without getting the cord wrapped around me. No instructions came with it. Can anyone help me figure this out? The light is very bright and will be a big help for my tired eyes.

The light plugs into an outlet. Best thing that I have found is to place a mutiple outlet cord on the floor in the center of my table. Clip the light to one of the back pods (I think that is what the are called). YOu can then bend the flexiable light to the position you need. I

When I ordered this light, I too, thought it plugged into the machine. It is a great light but the cord is a bit problematic. I had my husband mount my power strip to the center lower part of my frame, that way, when the light is plugged in, the cord reaches to the farthest point at either end of the frame. That way I can easily move the machine from one end to the other and the cord from the light hangs over the edge of the frame and does not interfere with the rails.
