Horizontal Spool Holder

Are there any directions for installing and using the Horizontal Spool? I know it mounts on the laser stylus guide post. I, also, found in my user's manual that you only thread it through the top hole of the three-hole thread guide.

I'm not an expert, but HQ has a short video clip in the Education portion of this site. Checking out that video clip may answer your question.

There is an instructional video on this website. The steps to get to it are as follows:

1. On the Home Page, click "Education" and "Videos/Tips and Tricks" on
the top bar

2. Next click "How To" videos

3. In this next menu, click "Handi Gadgets and Accessories"

4. The last step is to click "Installing and Using a Horizontal Spool
Pin"

There is a short video showing you how to install and use the horizontal spool pin. There is,however, one thing that needs to be corrected on this video. If you are using a delicate thread, such as the glitter thread that is shown on the video, you would only thread one or two of the holes on the three hole thread guide. When you are not using a delicate thread, you would use all three holes when threading the machine with the horizontal spool pin.

I hope this answers your question about using the horizontal spool pin.
