HQ 16 Stitch Regulator

I have had a HQ 16 for over a year and just found out it had not been set up correctly. I have seen multiple posts regarding irregular stitch length on this forum. This post maybe helpful to you! To prevent this from happening to others please check your machine for:

Make sure the black rubber grommet is placed on the left metal wheel (as you face the front of the machine). This is the wheel that controls the front to back stitch regulator. Also the cable harness assembly that hangs underneath the machine has two connectors. One goes to the front of the machine and the middle one goes to the side controller.

Once this is done you should be able to move your machine in any direction and get "regular" stitches. It's a no brainer once its is set up correctly.
