HQ New product

| I was at my local dealer yesterday and she mentioned to me that HQ is coming out with a new product in October but could not say what it was. Only that HQ is trying to keep up with the competition out there in the LONGARM Industry. Has anyone heard anything about this? I am wandering if they are going to increase the size of the throat space. I sure hope it is something that those of us who have the HQ16 can upgrade to or add on to our current machine. I hope I am not going to be tooooo upset on what it is going to be. ANY COMMENTS????? Debi |

| I know they just released a brand new frame. I just bought my machine in May and wished I would have waited for this new frame. It is really nice. It has handles on the side so you can roll the fabric very easy and several other features. I saw it set up in the store. They told me it is the newest from HQ. I didn't bother to ask the price and all they said was it was very pricey. I didn't see anything else that looked new, the machine and table still looked the same. Jill |

| Jill, I too saw the new frame and wish I had it. It is 2395.00 but I have heard it is not as good as the quiltable. No, what I heard has not been seen yet. It definately is not the new table. I am sure it is something to do with a new kind of HQ. Debi |

| I saw the new table/frame while at their retreat in June and was really impressed with it. I was told last week if you wanted the new frame you had to get the table also. True? Was also told that this weekend they were going to have an introductory offer available for it. I had called Handiquilters since I do not have a dealer anywhere near me. She said that if I signed up for e-mail notification I would be notified of any specials and new products. Has anyone signed up for that and has anyone ever been notified of new products, etc. Just curious. She almost acted that she wasn't interested in whether I bought the new table/frame or not. It's a long story but I surely need a new table/frame. Sue |

| Did everyone get the notice of the special on the new table? $895.00 off the first 200 orders is a pretty good deal. I'm afraid HQ16 is going to price themselves up there with the big long arms and lose their following of mid arm quilters. Some of the bigger machines are starting to look like a better deal. I'm disappointed and afraid they will forget about those of us that helped they get where they are today. Any comments? |

| Grandmapeg - I agree with your comments. I'm sure HQ is trying to match gammill with their new table. However, add that to the cost of the machine now and you match the midarm gammill or maybe a little more. I am not sure what their "package" price will be with the new table. Don't get me wrong I love my HQ but they seem to be trying to catch up with the big guys instead of perfecting their market with midarms. I can see me being left in the dust.... |

| grandmapeg and Vicky, I agree with you. It seems they are more concerned about keeping up with the Big Boys. I feel I am also going to be left in the dust along with many others of us who have made them what they are today. My dealer hinted to me that the new product coming in October will be a bigger machine like the gammel, cause they want to keep up with the others in the industry. I have a feeling we are in for a BIG, BIG letdown. I am so upset over this as I am sure it will be very very pricey. Also I am wandering if the new studio frame will be able to accomodate a bigger machine if in fact it is going to be a bigger machine like a gammel. Any comments? Debi |
