I am wanting to purchase a Quiliting Machine tomorrow and I really could use some help on the price. I am getting the HQ Sixteen, the computer, table, frame & stitch regulator for $14,000. There are a few other little things also that will come with it. It has been used very little and is only about 5 weeks old. I could use some help if this is a good deal or not. I am very excited to buy this setup but a just nervous about spending that kind of money. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think you are getting a pretty good deal. You might ask if you can see the original bill of sale (invoice) on the machine to find out for sure. You will need the original date of purchase anyway to see about getting warranty coverage on the machine.

I have the HQ16 with regulator, QuilTable and a few other gadgets and I think I paid around $8K for my setup. I believe the computer system that comes with the machine is around $8K also, so you are getting about $2K off original selling price. That's a pretty good deal.

Once you get the machine, you need to call HQ16 Home Office to see about getting the warranty transferred to you. Or you might have the seller call HQ to confirm they are indeed selling the machine to you.

I did end up buying it and it was gently used. It was a demo machine from a store and had been used around 5 weeks. So far I am loving it. I am still trying to figure out everthing on it. I do get a little frustrated at times and really need to get some help with it. I have a class that I can take but just haven't had the time yet. Other than that it has been so fun. My husband knows more about running it than I do. I have a hard time with some of the stuff on the computer. I have just done a lot of practicing on different things the last few days and I think I am finally getting used to the way it works. So far it has been really good with a few frustrating moments.
