Well, after months of lurking and researching I've taken the plunge and just ordered an HQ 16. It will be being delivered sometime after the 1st of May. I can't wait to start doing some of my own quilting. (I'm really tired of answering the "did you make this?" question with "well yea - sorta , I pieced the top and someone else did the quilting") Now I can just say 'Yep'!

Thanks to all for the insight you've provided, whether you knew you were doing it or not. I'm sure I'll be hanging around more with questions in the near future.

Congrats Dave! You will be so happy with your choice. It is such a nice machine. I just wish I had more time to use it!

COME ON MAN! SPILL THE BEANS HERE! What all did you order with your machine? Did you get the stitch regulator? Did you get a table? Which one?

I have the QuilTable and LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I really do like my HQ. I find I can quilt everything on this that "the big boys" do. You'll have to tell us your reaction when you get the machine. I almost mugged my UPS guy when mine was delivered.

Crash: I didn't get the quilt table, but the adjustable table was included for free - so that made me happy. I figure I can upgrade down the road if need be. It's the new stitch regulated machine. Got a deal on a demo machine from Quilt Trends in Columbus, OH. Even tho I live in Atlanta, they will deliver and set up for me (also free - yea!). I haven't ordered much yet, but want the extended base, some rulers and a groovy board or two to get me started. Thanks for the words of encouragement. Can't wait to get started!

I ordered my HQ 16 a few days ago and can't wait until it gets here.
