King Size Quilt

Can you quilt a king size quilt even if you don't have room to expand the frame to the full length? The room my HQ is in only will do a queen size but I was wondering if I could just go so far (and leave part of it hanging) then move it over to do the other part of the king size? Anyone done anything like this? I know the ultimate answer would be to get a bigger room. :)

If you are using a pantograph pattern, I would think it would be extremely difficult to line up the pattern at the right place to do this.
If you are doing custom or meandering I can see where this would work. Not much different than turning a quilt actually. |

I am afraid you are right you need to get a bigger room. If you have your quilt hanging off the side of the frame you will loose your tension on the quilt and I would think it would become a nightmare. I don't think I would try it. Sorry that is not what you wanted to hear.
