OK, I'm just getting going with my HQ16 and experiencing some glitches, but overall pretty good. BUT was trying to use a pantograph to do my stitching, and by the time most of the quilt was rolled up and completed, the laser light wouldn't shine OVER the roll of the quilt. So I improvised with a wooden skewer secured to the existing pole to make it taller, and it worked OK, but there must be a better way. Am I missing something simple here?

Where do you have your laser light mounted? I have mine mounted in the back behind the quilt roll.

If you look at page 6 of your HQ Sixteen user manual, it shows 2 places to install the laser light.

I guess I did miss the simple thing. Thanks to susanf and NHgin for pointing out the alternate place to mount the light!
