I am going to try sending you the instructions for loading the fabric onto the frame to your e-mail. Please let me know if I did it successfully.
To baste the fabric onto the leaders, you will baste the backing onto two of the three leaders (one on the top of the backing and one on the bottom of the backing)on the side that does not have velcro. You will baste them from the center out and then back to center out the other direction (just like you pin it onto the leaders). The leader on the top of the backing will be attached with the velcro to the take up roller bar. Again, attach the velcro from the center out. Make sure that it goes behind the idler bar before attaching it to the take up roller bar. The leader that is basted onto the bottom of the backing is attached with the velcro onto the belly bar (the bar that your stomach touches). Make sure the fabric has the wrong side facing up. The top of your quilt will be basted onto the remaining leader. You will baste the bottom of the top quilt onto the leader (starting from the center out again) and attach it to the bar next to the belly bar. I hope this answers your questions about loading. I made up a pictorial on my blog on floating a quilt top, if it helps.
