Locking Stitch

Okay I was watching video that came with my Fusion and seen how when done quilting she locks the stitchs then moves machine to the side to get thread then goes back and gets bobbin thread up. When I move my fusion to the side it is so tight it pulls quilt with machine until thread breaks, or I have to pull extra thread through the tension discs so it doesn't break my tension looks good. Just wondering if I am doing something wrong?

Hi Penny, Yes you need to pull a small amount of thread below your tension disks before moving the machine head away. My dealer stressed that when he showed me how to use the HQ years ago. Happy Quilting
