Machine won't turn on

I have had my machine for a couple of years, since right before the SR came out. This morning I went to quilt and the initial display shows on the back and front handlebars, but not the side area. and then it doesn't get to the second screen showing the stitch length, the light doesn't come on and the buttons on either handle won't work, but the wheel will tiurn. This is the second time this has happened. The last time I took the machine into the dealer and it worked for him, and then worked for me when I got it home. Need less to say it is frustrating to have to unload a quilt and then take it in. Has any one else had this experience on the older machines?

My machine is a year old but one time the screen in the back went out. I undid the plug that attaches to the machine and put it in again. It worked after that. Maybe the hook ups to the handles have come loose. Having to take that HEAVY machine in at all is a PAIN. Will the dealer make a service call to your home? I sure hope you find out what is wrong.

My machine did the same thing...when I turned it on...it went beep beep beep....both handle screens lit up but the pod was blank....according to my rep, that means the computer is gone. My fantastic Handiquilter Dealer here in St George. Ut came to the house within the hour that I called her. I did the upgrade instead of just having it repaired because the Pods were included in either case.
