I've been getting several needle sensor failure error messages and most time I can reset the machine by unplugging it. Is this an issue that should be looked at?
I have had this problem several times on my Avante. I called HQ's Tech Support a few weeks ago, and they sent a small device (called a jumper on the invoice) which they had me plug into the back where the stitch regulator cable normally goes. This ran the machine through a cycle of very slow speed up to maximum speed and back to slow again several times. (Greg advised taking the bobbin case and needle out during this procedure.) I think this was supposed to reprogram the chip. I haven't had the problem since, but I haven't really had time to quilt much either.
Thanks, I will give them a call...I don't think everything is working right still.
