I just ordered some new wheels for my HQ. Any tips before I put them on? Also I ordered two groovy boards. Anyone using/enjoying them?? |

| I have been using the groovy boards for a couple of months and they are great, just put on the stitch regulator and away you go. The only tricky part is rolling up to the next row; it's sort of like a pantograph. The one drawback I have found is that I have gotten lazy and away from stitching free hand patterns with the SR off. I just went to MQX in Manchester NH and bought some more! |

Wheels: Use the right wrenches - 7/16th - it pays to have two rather than using a vise wrench or pliers, as I did the first time! the new wheels are very nice. If you have the stitch regulator attached, make sure you look at it very carefully to make sure you remember how to put it back on. I had to modify - I added a small washer between the rail and the mechanism on the bottom carriage, because my wheel was slipping even after cleaning the rubber. If I tightened up the spring so the wheel didn't slip, it rubbed against the rail to the point where it wouldn't even move. If I loosened the spring, the wheel wobbled. One small washer solved that problem. Make sure you put on a practice piece and view your stitches carefully to make sure both regulator wheels are moving properlly. |
