I'd like to get some input on how many stitches per inch everyone uses in the regulated mode and why. I'm trying to get a nice look but not set off the alarm all the time. Thanks.
When using regulator I usually set it at 12 to 15 spi. The smaller stitches allow me to due nice looking curves and gives a crisper looking corner.

If your alarm is constantly going off you may need to have your stitch regulator adjusted. I did set off the alarm quite a bit when I first started but I realized that I was starting and stopping so much that I was putting the computer into overload. I'd turn off the machine, disconnect the power, wait about 3 minutes and start in again. That seemed to take care of it. Once you get more comfortable with your machine and stitch regulator that will happen a lot less.

Hope this helps.
When I am in regulated, the stitch length I use is determined by what I am sewing. When I am using a decorative thread, I like it to show up more, so I use about an 8 spi. When I am doing tiny pebbling etc., I use a 15 spi. Just for the average sewing, I will have it somewhere between 10 and 12 spi. It is very hard to have the alarm never go off. You will hear beeping at times. When you hear more beeping then not, or when it is constantly beeping, that is when you know you need to slow down. Just look at your stitches and make sure you are getting the consistant length stitches. If you are, you should be fine. I hope that helps you.
