I will be attending the Innovations Seminar at the end of the month and plan on purchasing some pantos. What is the largest size you buy? Will 16" work on the HQ table? I have been thinking about this because when the quilt is rolled, there is less room to quilt.
I think about 12" is the largest size you can use... but someone with more knowledge should be along to tell youf or sure...
Thanks for panto size suggestion. 12" sounds great.
Does anyone have any favorite pantos??
I like the pantos by Debbie Geissler and some of them at www.willowleaf.com

They both have pantos that fit right into one another. When you are finished with the quilt, it doesn't look like you used a panto, it all looks free hand.
You have me curious. What is an Innovations Seminar?
I have the first Handi Quilter frame, but changed tracks and poles. I use a Juki sewing machine and found that a 3" to 4 - 1/2" panto works best. You have more room at the beginning of the quilt but as you go along there is less room. I also like pantos that fit right into one another.
The Innovations Seminar in Tacoma, WA is for short, mid, or longarm quilters. Almost all of the classes are lecture and demo format. This is the first year I have attended Innovations and felt I learned lots of new information. In the past I have attended the HMQS in Salt Lake. It is the same as Innovations but larger and since Salt Lake is the home of HQ16 they have hands-on classes using HQ16. I would highly recommend either seminar. The teachers are friendly and there are many wonderful classes to attend. For me, Salt Lake is 5 hours away and Tacoma is 8 hours.
I have purchased many pantos from The Patter Man, Golden threads, willowleaf, bayside quilting..they have large variety and sizes.
I purchased some Debra Geissler patterns and just love them! They are a little more complicated than some of the other pantos out there but they look like free motion quilts.
Thanks.
