Pro Stitcher not stitching

My Pro Stitcher will stitch a pattern for a short time, then stop stitching and move ahead in the pattern and resume stitching. In effect it is putting a jump in the pattern where there is none. It will do this several times in a single pattern. I have tried different patters, different threads, different bobbines, different batting and different needles. Same result with all. Help!!!!

Check your power supply. If you are having power surges it will cause problems.

How to check power supply? Plugged into regular circuit via surge protector strip. Nothing else on circuit.
