First problem: the oil that came with my HQ in December just all of the sudden would nnot come out of the bottle as if stopped up. I tried everything I could to upstop it. So.......
I ordered a fine point oil applicator from another source. When it arrived I was disappointed to see that the oil was discolored and not clear as the bottle that came with my machine. I have heard that I should not use oil if it is discolored. Is this true? Thanks |

| If the oil has turned dark it is rancid. I use the ZOOM SPOUT oil on my machine instead of the one that came with my machine. Much easier to use and much cheaper to buy. After I oil my machine I let it run with no thread in it to throw off excess oil. |

If your oil is discolored you are correct to assume you should not use it on your machine. It may also be that it is the wrong kind of oil that you purchased. The oil used on our machine is not a thick amber colored oil--it is a light clear oil. As far as the oil that came with your machine, did you make sure that you pulled the spout out all the way. When you get it, the pin (spout) is pushed all the way in the bottle. You are suppose to pull it out all the way and then leave it out. Don't keep pushing it in and pulling it out, because it will contaminate your oil. It may take a needle nose plier to pull out the pin or spout. If you have already done that and it is still clogged, it is very inexpensive to buy another oiler from us. You can also use the brand that was suggested--Zoom Spout will work fine also.

| I did have the spout pulled all the way out and it still did not work, so I will empty and clean the fine point oiler that I purchased and refill it with the oil in my HQ container. Thanks for confirming my thoughts on the colored oil. |
