ProStitcher pattern questions

I have my PS only a couple of weeks and I have some questions.
1. On my PS I can't merge a repeated pattern. In Continuous Line, pattern Feather Long and FlowerAndLeaf, I repeat the pattern & turn on point to point, I have changed distance apart to zero and decreased jump to zero. Both patterns still stitch out with a large gap between repeats. All the other patterns merge with no problem. Help!! 2. I would like to purchase digital patterns online and work with them (repeat, resize) in Quilt Cad then download to PS. What file extensions work? Can you give me instructions on how to correctly download the pattern from the web site into Quilt Cad. I did download a free HQF pattern to my computer but I can't read or load it into Quilt to Pattern Cad. Help again !!!! Thank you, Lorraine |

Lorraine,
If you will call into Handi Quilter and ask for the Education Department we would be willing to help you with your problem of the gap between your patterns. You can not make adjustments to a purchased pattern in Quilt CAD. That is an import feature and we do not have that. Good luck, Cheryl Duncan Handi Quilter Studio Educator |

QuiltCAD will only read .gpf format. We will soon have a module that will be able to read other files.

Another ProStitcher pattern question

I am new to the ProStitcher & still learning so much. I would like to know how to set the computer up to stitch out the L-corner and border, but there is nothing about this in the manual that came with my PS. Am I missing tutorials somewhere? I am sure the PS will do so much more than what the two lessons in my manual cover.
I belong to a Yahoo PS group and it has been mentioned that this (and many other tips/tutorials) was addressed at the HQ ProStitcher Retreat in SLC. My question is what do the PS owners that cannot get to the retreats in SLC to do other than learn by trial and error? Is there anyway that a PS owner can learn without attending the retreats? I realize there is a lot to cover but we pay a great deal for the PS but our manual & other materials only cover a very small percentage of its capabilities. Mel |

There is a lot of information you can learn by attending the retreat classes we hold here at Handi Quilter in Salt Lake. If you are not able to attend one of these retreats, you can encourage your local rep to have classes. They can have one of our territorial educators come in to their store and have classes also.
As far as knowing how to do L-corners and borders, if you will call Handi Quilter and ask for the Education department, we can help you with that. The number to call is 1-877-697-8458 Mon-Fri from 10AM-5PM. Kathi Salter Handi Quilter Studio Educator |

Another resource available for Pro-Stitcher owners is some instuctions on YouTube.
If you click onto 'Education' on the top bar of this page and then click onto 'HQ Pro-Stitcher-Computerized Quilting', it will bring you to a page that has options that scroll horizontally across the page. Using the red and white arrow, scroll over until you get to the 'Software Update Video' screen. Don't be confused with the 'Software Update' screen. It needs to be the one that has the videos. Click onto this and there are 5 YouTube videos that give you information about the Pro-Stitcher. I hope this is helpful to you. Kathi Salter Handi Quilter Studio Educator |
