I have a new prostitcher and have a couple of issues. Is there a faster way than using the "backup" to go back a long ways? I seem to recall something from a class but it isn't mentioned in the manual.

The other issue is about repeats. Sometimes,(but not all the time), when a design needs to be rotated a little to accommodate a slightly twisted border the design gets smaller in height. The length is fine. I don't know that it is going to stitch out smaller until the actual stitchout starts. Because of the rotation, the height reads as larger than the actual design height. I suspect it might have something to do with the order in which I make the adjustments because it doesn't happen on the first one but rather on subsequent ones.
Hi Lois, I'd like to add a little something the issue you posted. After rotating to compensate for the angled border, do a manual trace.

This means to zoom in, select the follow button, move your head and follow the pattern (not the box) viewing just where the pattern hits on your quilt. The box after rotating used to confuse me terribly but with the last software enhancements, it has made my quilting soooo much better and my frustration level low. Good luck, Connie
Thanks for the idea of the manual trace. It still doesn't solve the problem except to let me know that it is going to happen before the actual stitchout. Since it doesn't usually happen on the first time I stitch out the design, I suspect it has something to do with using the rotate on the second or third time. It has happened twice now (on two different quilts) on repeats of the same long horizontal sash. The first one is fine, but the second or third one stitches out smaller (in height only-it appears squashed). The box around the design appears larger like I expect it to but the actual design is smaller. On one quilt it was a full half-inch smaller and didn't begin to fill the space like it should. It was rotated perfectly though!
