Ruler and hopping foot issue

I have a Fusion and I have difficulty holding the Handi Ruler against the hopping foot on the left side when stitching vertically. The foot has a slightly curved edge which hits the ruler every time it comes down. I can hold the ruler on the right side of the foot, but it is rather awkward. Might be a design issue to pass on to the designers...

I'm having this problem too, what did you do to help with the rubbing on the left side of the hopping foot?

I got my new hopping foot today and the problem is solved! Thank you Handiquilter for solving this issue!
