I must be doing something wrong. When using a ruler with the ruler base in having to hold the ruler tight the 2" metal square under the foot sticks up higher than the ruler base.... is that right? Seems when I pull the machine towards me it's hard to hold it straight when the machine gets closer to the middle of ruler that I'm holding.. I get a jerk in my stitching... Seems it would do better if that plate didn't stick up. Judy |

| Everything should be even. There are two elongated bumps on the base of the machine that fit into the ruler base. It takes a bit of pushing and pulling to get it on at (at least for me), but when it is on correctly, it all fits nice and smooth. I don't use my ruler base that often because of loosing quilting space, but when I do use it, I like it a lot. Good luck. |

| When you use the ruler try guiding it (the ruler) with the hopping foot so the ruler is all ready resting on the metal plate. Hope this helps. Crissy |
