sides of quilt pull inward

| How do you keep your quilt sides squared and even? I use the velcro strap "things", but sometimes find myself removing them, to get to a particular part of the side of my quilt top. While I have the straps removed, I hand hold that portion of the top, but sometimes when I have finished quilting, my top is no longer even on the sides....any suggestions? |

| There are many good ideas on the HQ16 yahoo group about side leaders for just this problem There are even some photos posted to see the side leaders in use. Good luck. |

| I just watched all the videos that handi quilter has on their web site. There are a lot of helpful hints, one of which is to baste the sides of your quilt as you roll it along. Still use the clips but it stabilizes the top with the rest of he quilt sandwich. I think the videos are well worth the cost. They are no more than taking a class at a quilt show and you get to look at them whenever you want. |
