here is my problem, I am quilting and my machine will skip stitches as big has an inch and then will pick up and sew only to skip again and again. I hope someone can help me I am very discouraged with my machine.
I feel your pain. Why is it these things only happen on the weekend? Have you tried calling your dealer? Change your needle, bobbin, clean and oil your bobbin area, re-thread the machine, change spools of thread if possible. These are the only things I can think of off hand. One more, your quilt sandwich isn't too tight? You don't need to bounce quarters off it , just keep it snug. I don't know if any of these will help you but sometimes they work for my problems. Good luck and if all else fails, call customer support on Monday. Go down through the forum questions. I think there might be a discussion like this somewhere down the list.
Thank you so much Grandmapeg, I will try all those suggestions.
Good luck! Let us know if anything works. My quilters fingers are crossed for you.
I have had this same problem and had my machine in to get cleaned and adjusted since I thought maybe that was the problem. Well I got it home and the same thing kept happening. I then realized I must be my own problem. I think I was making by quilt too tight. I started rolling it much looser and it has really helped. That seems to have taken care of the problem most of the time. I still get it once in a while and when I do I loosen again and try and move the machine slower. Good luck. It is very frustrating I know.
Make sure you are completely connected on the bottom front and bottom side of machine. There are 2 two connections your ribbon cable connects into from the POD. You should be able to stitch front and back and side to side with any thing in between. If you are loosing stitches then you are NOT totally connected.
