skipping stitches when quilting slowly

I've just had my Avanti 18 serviced twice and I;m still having issues with skipping stitches mostly when working slowly. I am using quality material, I;ve changed needles, threads and my tension is good. The shop has used the machine and worked well for them. What is the problem?
