Stitches looping

I just had a HQ18 set up yesterday. It stitched OK for about 10 minutes and then it started skipping stitches and looping on top. Can you tell me how to correct this. The bobbin appears to have the correct tension as it drops like a spider.

Reply:

The first thing I want you to do is check to make sure your needle is not in backwards. The groove that goes down the needle should be in the front-facing you- and the small scarf at the bottom of the needle should be facing the back of the machine. If the needle is in correctly and it still has that problem, please call Handi Quilter and we will help you figure out what is wrong.
