tension problems

I have had the HQ for 3 yrs and am still having problems with the tension I would to love to have a HQ buddy for advice and encouragement in Phoenix I have the older beginning HQ with no stitch regulator I bought a new bobbin case , changed the thread to superior , changed to the new handi needles geting the tensions balanced sems to be the problem any suggestions ladies? |

| Sorry but I am in NC. There is a short video on this website for setting the tension in the bobbin. The object of the game is to have it set that when you pull on the thread tail the bobbin just lifts out of your hand. A short jerk will allow the thread to come out of the bobbin. I make sure I have this bobbin tension set to this standard before I start any project. Then, I adjust the top tension until I get the stitch I want. After a while you get used to the machine and can get very close just by pulling the thread and knowing how much resistance you should have. I hate to say it but just about everything with this machine comes down to practice and experience. Keep your chin up and keep trying. |
