I have just spent a lot of time reading different discussions on this forum and I thank all of you for making me realize that I really am not stupid. I have had many failures with my HQ and I was almost convinced to give it up. My breaking thread is a consistent problem. I will be moving to PA next month so my machine is down right now, but after I have it serviced I will be one happy quilter. Thanks to all of you. I look forward to reading your forum.

What type of thread were you using. Sometimes that makes a difference. Don't give up because it's worth the work. I just took a paper piecing class and make every mistake you could make and then some. After I finally finished the class project I was hooked. After you get set up again give yourself some time. Get some muslin and batting and just keep trying. Good luck

Thanks for the encouragement Grandmapeg. I was using So Fine and sometimes it would work, others not so good. I got a groovy board in Nashville this past summer and also some pantographs and I really want to do a good job, but its hard when there is always something wrong. I am sure when I "get it" the whole world will know. Good luck with the paper piecing. Thanks again.
