| You did not mention the needle. Have you checked to make sure the needle is not in backwards? |

One issue that you might be having is that the tension looks perfect--meeting in the middle of the fabric sandwich, but both tensions might be too tight. Make sure that you have set the bobbin tension first and that when holding the thread with your fingers after the bobbin is inserted into the bobbin case that it slides slowly down like a spider on a web. If you lay the bobbin case on your hand and lift it up with the thread from the bobbin, you should be able to pick it up off your hand and then have the thread slowly slide out of the bobbin case. After you have set the tension on your bobbin case correctly, then you will do the rest of the adjusting on top. You might already be aware of all of this, but I just want to make sure that is not the issue you are having.
If you are still having problems, please let me know and I will try to help you figure out what is causing it. Kathi Salter Handi Quilter Studio Educator |

| I had the same problem with bottom line thread. I had a small amount of lint under the tension spring of the bobbin that I didn't find until I took a small needle and ran it under there. Also I was doing a lot of rt to left sewing so I also off set the eye of the needle to about 5:00 o'clock and I have had no other issues with breakage....Hope this helps I know how frustrating that thread can be!
