HELP! I am trying very hard to sew my first quilt and am having an awful time. I was doing fine on a practice quilt last night UNTIL the bobbin thread ran out. It's been disaster ever since.
First the bobbin winder wouldn't stop automatically. Then the top thread kept breaking. After four of the most frustrating hours of my life, I finally got it working. All I wanted to do tonight was put my quilt in the frame and check the thread tension so I could work tomorrow. This has been awful, just awful. As soon as I lowered the needle, it jammed in the bobbin case and wouldn't raise. I got an error message on the screen saying "motor stall check for thread lock". But my user manual has nothing about what a thread lock is, how to check for it, or what to do about it. Then I got a second message about a needle sensor. I have spent 1 hour and fifteen frustrating minutes trying to get the machine to the point where I can just check the tension. The top thread will not lock. I think it's a tension problem, but there is nothing in the user manual. I have no idea what to do next. |
